Network Presentations - VPL-PX15: Wireless Peer to Peer Presentations The VPL-PX15 is the first of Sony's projectors to include a peer to peer (ad-hoc) networking capability. This technology enables a wireless peer to peer network to be set up even in spaces where a network environment is not provided, by using a wireless LAN PC Card. Users can come in the meeting room, set up a peer to peer network with their PCs and the projector, and prepare and run their wireless presentations by communicating with and transferring data to the VPL-PX15. This eliminates the trouble of connecting a PC to the projector or changing cable connections when switching to another presenter.

Projector Exchange: If your presentation is on a critical deadline and you can't wait for our quick-turnaround factory service, Sony will immediately send you a loaner projector of equal or greater value. Just return the projector to Sony - and your original projector will be shipped back to you as soon as it is repaired.

LAN Connection: For offices where a network environment is provided, the VPL-PX15 includes a 10Base-T/100Base-TX interface that enables the projector to be connected to the LAN. The projector can communicate with any PC within the same LAN, and can also access the Internet directly using the pre-installed web-browser. A wireless LAN system can be provided as well, by using a wireless LAN PC Card and an access point.

PC Presentations via Web Browser: Any PC within the same network can communicate with the VPL-PX15 via a web browser**. Operating presentations, organizing files and controlling the projector and projector setup parameters can all be done from these PCs through the network, by accessing the application software pre-installed in the projector. ** System requirements OS: Microsoft® Windows® 98, Windows 98 SE or Windows 2000 Web browser: Internet Explorer® 4.0 or later or Netscape® Communicator 4.5x or 4.7x

The VPL-PX15 has memory storage that enables presentation files to be saved in the projector prior to the meetings, which enables PC-less presentations. PC-less PC Card presentations are also possible.
